The beds were old, the bathroom had a bad smell that seemed more due to neglect than lack of cleaning, and the towels and linens were stiff and worn. The dishes were stained, some even cracked, and overall the place looks badly in need of renovation.

After years of using Booking, this was the first time I felt scammed. I reached out to Booking support, but they offered no help. The scam worked by advertising a low price, then telling me the Booking price was wrong and forcing me to either cancel and lose money or pay the higher rate to stay.
