“Traumhafte Lage und gutes Essen”

The location was perfect, ideal for hiking and absolutely quiet because the street in front of the hotel was barely used. The food was excellent, plentiful and good. We only stayed one night – a return trip from the Baltics – but next time we’ll definitely stay at least three days. Communication was very troublesome because the staff spoke neither German nor English, and the menu was only in Czech; we had to rely on Google Translate and photos of the dishes, which was not a major issue.

Unfortunately this was a scam. I booked the stay in mid‑July, and it seemed the hotel was still operational, but on arrival it was closed; the woman we met inside didn’t even know we were coming. We got the contact of the property manager, who claimed a colleague would call us to cancel the reservation… the hotel supposedly needs reconstruction, heating and hot water don’t work, etc. As compensation we were offered another pension – Orlík, also managed by the same owner. The room was already prepared, as if we had been expected from the start; the beds were flat and visibly broken after lifting the mattress. Breakfast was offered, but the manager arranged for another pension and we would go there. The distance was 10 minutes walking in rainy weather, so we preferred to arrange breakfast ourselves. There was no Wi‑Fi in the building; the manager does provide accommodation, but the pension has a completely different price category. Rejvíz is a beautiful place, but here you pay a lot for little music.

The property cancelled the reservation on the day of arrival, with no contact and no refund. Phone numbers were out of range or not answered.

It is a scam. The hotel has been out of operation for a long time and is in a broken state according to the operator. Upon arrival we were offered accommodation elsewhere in an empty pension without a restaurant. Breakfast was offered only one day and was very provisional – a sandwich and tea in a thermos. The next day we had to arrange breakfast ourselves. The room we received as a replacement was clean, heating and hot water for showers worked, but it did not match the quality for the price we paid for accommodation. I would have expected that such things would not happen when booking through Booking; it is a huge disappointment for me. I probably won’t use Booking again because it offers no guarantee or basic quality, nor does it verify that the operator actually functions.

“Paráda”

Snídaně nás překvapila. Široký výběr, míchaná vajíčka, párečky, šunky sýry, mnoho ovoce a vynikající křupavý chléb. Bylo hezky, tak jsme seděli na terase a ten výhled a klid je boží. Vydrželi bychom tam sedět celý den. Lidé si stěžovali, že televize spíš nefunguje, než funguje, ale kvůli tomu jsme do Jeseníků nejeli, takže nám to nevadilo. Na televizi se můžeme dívat doma. Po přeladění programů byl prý problém vyřešen
