Dinner was fantastic (^^) and I liked the family‑style bath, yet the water was too hot to relax, which was a real let‑down (ToT). Also, the kettle in the room was old and the coffee cup was a cheap, worn‑out plastic piece that looked like something used for brushing teeth—no charm at all. Replacing it with a simple ceramic cup from a 100‑yen shop would be far better.

The only plus was being able to use the hot spring. The landlady’s attitude was off‑putting; she seemed cold and I felt relieved it wasn’t her handling things. She only changed her tone and manners when we were leaving, which I found irritating. The other staff were friendly, but the landlady acted superior and I wanted to get out as soon as possible.

The food was tasty, but the portions were so huge that I couldn’t finish them, which felt wasteful. In the restrooms outside the rooms, there was no hand soap, and I wish there had been more amenities.

We happened to find a vacancy over the three‑day August holiday, and the family bath was nice even though I wasn’t expecting much. The meals were overly large, and while the dining area looked impressive, I think the price should have been lower if we couldn’t choose what to eat. We booked for six people and were given two rooms, one of which was big enough to fit all six, which seemed poorly thought out.
