The view from the terrace. The place was dirty (you know you’ll have a visitor, you could at least have a clean set of sheets and a tidy bed; from the temple of the choir), the mattress had broken springs, the pictures on the site were different, the host’s attitude was very disappointing, the fact that the key photo wouldn’t open was not our fault, and there was no need to be rude. The neighbors were kinder than the host, and thanks to the neighbor, otherwise my mother would have had to sleep on the stairs.

The spot is right where you want to be and the host even offered a paid early‑morning shuttle to the airport, which was handy. Unfortunately the room itself was a disappointment – it was grimy, reeked of cigarettes and the wardrobe was packed with the owners’ own stuff, making it unusable. Definitely not a good pick for anyone who doesn’t smoke.

The lady who ran the place was friendly, but aside from her kindness the accommodation left a lot to be desired. We booked it hoping for a quick shower and a short rest before our flight, yet the room was filthy, the sheets and towels smelled of tobacco, and the closet and balcony were cluttered with the owners’ belongings. To make matters worse, there was no private bathroom – it was shared and not mentioned at all – and the whole thing was hard to locate with no keys provided.
