“better Avoid them”
We booked through a pay‑at‑the‑hostel option because previous reviews were mostly negative, so we wanted assurance. After booking, the hostel sent us a text reminding us to prepay at least 30 % to confirm our stay, which we did, noting that we would arrive late at night. When we were about to arrive, they cancelled our reservation. They could have cancelled earlier if they were so doubtful of our arrival; otherwise they would have overbooked our room and then cancelled because of unavailability. I asked the host to keep the pay‑at‑the‑property promise and not force guests to bypass the payment policy. I felt cheated.
