“Dobra opcja, ale z pominięciem restauracji”
The hotel was definitely a plus. The room was clean, and we had fresh bottled mineral water refilled daily. The staff, led by the lady at reception, were top‑level; she was very polite and helpful. We were grateful the hotel let us store our luggage for free after check‑out. The real minus is the hotel’s restaurant. It operates as a separate entity but is in the same building, and the hotel actually offers breakfast made by that restaurant as part of its service, which is a big downside. The restaurant runs terribly. We used it twice, and each time we were the only guests there and had to wait 40 minutes for breakfast. The staff don’t speak English; the men on duty are only interested in their phones, not the guests. Half the menu is missing. There is no English breakfast, no burrata breakfast that’s on the menu. Choosing a dish feels like a lottery. On the first day the men gave us one dish, one person could eat while the other had to wait another 15 minutes because the kitchen forgot there were two people in the room, not one; I had to remind them. The next day, after learning from the experience, we asked how long we’d have to wait and were told “up to 20 minutes,” but we received our food after 40 minutes. Because we were scheduled for a tour of the Mangystau region, we asked if the food could be packed for us. They did pack it, but forgot to add plastic cutlery. It feels like no one there thinks about it. The service is lazy, avoiding work. The kitchen is probably as lazy as the men pretending to work in the dining area. Drama. In short, the hotel has potential to be great, but if it doesn’t clean up its restaurant, negative reviews will keep piling up. Get those guys to work, have someone keep an eye on them and what they’re doing.
