Gasthaus zum Bahnhof

The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant that the rooms belong to has been closed since May 26, so there is no staff there anymore, which gives a slightly spooky vibe. The keys are delivered through a keybox, and you get the code by phone—no other communication. Because the restaurant is definitely closed, breakfast is minimal: a few slices of bread, a croissant, some cold cuts, jam, orange juice, and coffee. Everything is served by the maid while she mops the floor. Switzerland is pricey, but the breakfast quality doesn’t match the price we paid.

The price was solid for what you get, breakfast was included and plenty, and you could pick your own time. The room was fine, had everything you need, and there was a smoking terrace on the floor.
