The greeting was very friendly, which is rare these days; it’s not hard to welcome a guest and ask, “How was your journey?” I was glad to see that at Steigenberger Kultur. We’re back again because the location is unbeatable and the comfort is excellent—everything fits. Perfect for a city trip. It’s a pity there aren’t two breakfast categories. We’re not “breakfast lovers,” so it would be great to have a “coffee, croissant with jam and orange juice” option for 15 €, and the “breakfast lovers” could then indulge for 30 €.

The location and lobby were good, but on the first night the room and beds were still being cleaned, so the bedding was missing. The cleaning staff was careless. When we mentioned it on the second day, we didn’t get any apology from the lobby. We didn’t notice it because we arrived late at night. They put us in a cheap room. Later, Ms. Büser, a Ukrainian cleaning lady, scolded us in front of everyone, lowering her voice and even hitting our heads—an unkind, inhuman gesture toward the cleaning staff.
