We absolutely loved our stay at Casa de Salcantay – it turned out to be the best place in all of Peru for us. The spot is super quiet and the view is gorgeous. Juvana is an incredibly warm and helpful host; she fulfilled all our requests and then some. Every morning we were greeted with a hug and every evening we were sent off with the same warmth. The breakfast and dinner she cooked were delicious.

The location is amazing with a great view, and it’s a perfect starting point for the hike to Choquequirao. The owners are fantastic and the food is excellent. It’s quiet, restful, and the food is tasty. Everything was just wonderful!

The view was the most beautiful of the entire trip, the place itself is stunning, and the hosts are fantastic. I didn’t expect such a high level of hospitality in every square meter. The breakfast was tasty, the beds were comfortable, and it’s a great starting point for trekking. The package even included a wonderful dog. The only downside was the water being very warm; showering in the cool morning was a small challenge.

Yovana makes you feel at home! She even greets you with a big hug! She is wonderful and everything was amazing. Nothing else. The shower could perhaps have a little more water when hot.
