Located just 15 km from Heathrow, the property sits within walking distance of Sandown Park Golf Club and 5 km from Hampton Court Palace, while Chessington World of Adventures and Nonsuch Park are nearby.

It was perfect for me: an affordable single room with a basin (and a toilet just down the corridor) and optional breakfast. The room was very small, the bed narrow but very comfortable with fresh, clean linen, and it was close to Hampton Court, which mattered to me. The communal bathroom needs serious renovation; the owner has arranged this but must wait for work to start in autumn. I think there are also en‑suite rooms.

Pleasant, quiet, spacious, with a lovely relaxing garden. The only issue was the shower facilities, which were very, very outdated and needed a look to understand.

A very accommodating house that was incredibly sympathetic to my situation. We didn’t end up staying there, but I’m sure it was lovely.
