The spot facing the water was convenient and matched the pictures, and it was also near the local market and the southernmost point. However, because of the ocean’s closeness, the bedding stayed damp and everything felt uncomfortably chilly; we couldn’t raise the heat enough to feel warm. The rolling barn doors to the bathroom never fully closed, so there was no privacy, with the bed just a few feet from the toilet. Also, the gate to the property wasn’t working, so it stayed open overnight, and as two women traveling alone and the only guests at the property that night, we felt uneasy. We checked out at first light and headed to the next destination.
