I liked how close it was to the city center, but the facilities were old, the coffee machine didn’t work, the curtains were broken, and there was no one in the hostel to talk to.

The place offered great value for money.

The location was fine, but as soon as we stepped into the room a strong perfume hit us, and we later discovered a lot of mould in the bathroom; even with the windows open the mould smell lingered. We left after one night out of two because the stay was awful overall. The photos should give you a clear idea of why you might want to skip booking this hostel.

The hostel was decent, everything was there, the chamomile tea was superb, the coffee machine worked, the room was spacious, and the price was good for the season. The roof had a dining area with a view of the fortress. The air‑conditioner was weakly cooling, probably because the refrigerant was running low by late summer, there was no lighting on the roof, but you could light candles, which looked nice.

The location was very convenient, just a stone’s throw from the Plaza de la Merced. However, it wasn’t properly cleaned, towels had to be requested, and it was impossible to leave or pick up luggage on arrival or departure days.
