We were pleasantly surprised: arriving, the lobby had no reception desk but opening the door led into a bar and dining rooms, and inside the hotel there was a horse arena with riders pulling horses—an odd but fascinating sight that made me wonder if I’d booked the wrong place. The spacious room had everything we needed, including a pod coffee machine, a waffle kettle, and a selection of tea and coffee. The next day the breakfast was excellent, varied, and served right in front of the horse arena with a beautiful cacatoe parrot. Outside there were many children’s games—tents, inflatable castles, a duck pond—and a space for horse training. My friends loved it, and I’d recommend it for families with kids. It’s close to Ostend and Bruges.
