If you’re after silence and calm, this place is a solid pick. The house sits about 20 minutes from Styrn in a very quiet village, so we brought our own food to cook. It rained, so we missed the lovely deck area, but the space was plenty and we still enjoyed our evening. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. The gentleman offered to bring us firewood if we wanted to light a fire.

The accommodation was very well situated in a quiet spot near a river and a lake with a magnificent view of the glaciers, and there was a terrace with everything needed: tables, chairs, garden armchairs. Three very pleasant rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, canoe and paddle available, washing machine and dishwasher. The hosts were very friendly. A supermarket and bakery were 5 minutes by car – much closer than indicated in the description.

A beautifully refurbished old schoolhouse. Lovely atmosphere in a great landscape. The hosts were friendly, greeted us with smiles and gave good information.
