The view of the beautiful Painswick valley is great, parking is convenient, and the host is very helpful and friendly.
“It was a wonderfully relaxing break, in a wonderfully relaxing location.”
I really enjoyed the vegan breakfast. Richard was very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The location is truly magnificent, and the locals are very friendly and helpful. It was also lovely to hear the church bells. Walking up the hill was a bit of a workout, but it was during a heatwave, so it was understandable.
Tibbiwell was clean and comfortable. Richard and Claire were very welcoming and accommodating. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.
“Only just passable for me. I wouldn’t stay again.”
The location in the lovely village of Painswick is nice. The bedroom was a good size, as was the en‑suite. My room had a terrace with a table and four chairs overlooking the valley, and there was also a communal terrace with a view accessed from the garden. It’s a very basic bed and breakfast; you have to know what you want for breakfast as soon as you walk through the door and before you see your room. The duvet cover on the bed was very creased and un‑ironed, and there was thick dust you could write your name on the dressers in the dining room. The owner doesn’t seem to have a mobile (or doesn’t give you the number), so I’m not sure what happens in an emergency.
“Quiet accommodation close to an excellent pub and coffee shop.”
