Wades Point Inn on the Bay

If you’re looking to unplug and escape, this is a good spot; we stayed because it was the nearest hotel to Cambridge for Ironman and needed specific amenities, but that wasn’t what we wanted. The setting was lovely, the place charming, and the staff friendly and welcoming. The bed and breakfast vibe was nice and it’s close to good restaurants in the cute town of St. Michaels. However, the stairs were narrow (1800’s style) and our luggage couldn’t fit in the room, let alone be carried up; I had to use a TJ Maxx bag just to bring my stuff for two nights. There were very few outlets, no cups or water in the room, no iron, so we lacked the things we needed for our visit.

“friendly staff, nice view and great breakfast”

The location was excellent, but I wish they offered afternoon tea, snacks, pastries, etc.

The breakfast was delicious, yet I didn’t like the handheld shower in the tub and preferred a free‑standing shower.

It’s perfect—relaxation at its best—but there’s no pool.

I’d have chosen a tent on the grass just for that view, but the window unit air conditioner was annoyingly loud.
