The lake lies 10 minutes away; bicycles and nearby walking, swimming, and skiing trails enhance outdoor adventures.

We stopped here on the way to Italy and were pleasantly surprised. A cozy inn with excellent cuisine (we had fish, meat, and a vegetarian dish, all very tasty). We had an entertaining evening thanks to a very friendly and attentive waitress (a native of Magdeburg). Breakfast had everything needed for a good start to the day.

Friendly staff, good beds, very good breakfast. The location is also very good. Overall a successful stay.

This was our second visit to Hotel zur Post in two years. We really like the location in the heart of Kochel am See, a short walk or a 2‑minute drive to Kristall Therme Trimini with its spectacular lake and mountain views. We also appreciate the friendly and helpful staff and large comfortable rooms. We also like having an elevator to get luggage to our room and the breakfast buffet was ample. Screens on the windows might have stopped a few mosquitoes from the nearby marshes from entering our room. The hotel is near an intersection of three roads which gets extremely busy during weekends but noise is not a problem at night.

The hotel feels old, but the staff are friendly. Street noise at night is almost nonexistent, and the breakfast—muesli and fresh fruit—was quite good. The bathroom needs renovation and there's no fridge.
