“Muy buena”
The location, cleanliness, and service were excellent. The breakfast could be improved.
It was the best value for the price in Bangkok; the rooms were clean and classy.
They told us they would give us a double bed but ended up giving us a single bed, and the toilet didn’t smell very good.
The staff were okay, but the room wasn’t clean, the pillows were lumpy, the floor was sticky, the air smelled stale, and there was no call button for service—any requests had to be taken to the spa.
“Very happy with private room & price. But as a hotel owner myself, I see many possible improvements!”
I took room 102, which is a private room with private bathroom and king sized bed. Very good price for the area, and convenient to the MRT Blue Line. I km from Central Plaza Pinklao. The room was very basic, though. Nothing fancy, but met all of my needs. Very good treatment by staff. If I am alone, I would happily stay here again. But if I was with my wife, she would not have liked it. "Too old," she would say. "Too plain.". 1) T.V. did not work. Had antenna connection, but picture would not hold. Only Four channels, but couldn't even watch those! (I reported this upon leaving.) 2) Very basic and boring room. No effort has been made to make it nicer. The rental money from just one night would be enough to buy a couple of pictures or an artificial plant -- something to give the room a little color! A colored duvet instead of white would help with that, also! 3) The shower is good, but it is placed in a bad spot. It is "thai-style," where the toilet and shower use the same space, with a drain in the floor for the shower water to run into. The problem is, the shower is in one corner, and the drain in the opposite corner. That means the water has to run all the way across the room to the drain, leaving the whole floor wet. That means, if you want to use the toilet or sink after you shower, you have to stand on this completely wet floor! You sit on the toilet with your feet on a wet floor? BAD DESIGN! 4) Everything was very clean, so no complaint there. But making it CLEAN seems to be the only thing they think about. No attempt has been made to make it BEAUTIFUL! If they look around--if they pay attention--they should be able to see that there are many things that could be made better, and for very little money! But first they have to LOOK!
