Everything was within walking distance and the host was very responsive, even though all communication happened via WhatsApp. Overall, everything was fine, but keep in mind it’s right in the middle of “action” on weekends. The noise on Saturday night was intense because the downstairs bar stays open until midnight and the music is very loud; this doesn’t happen on other nights.

I thought the location was good, but the downstairs bar is like a nightclub and it keeps you from sleeping. Then at reception there’s never anyone there. The noise, lack of reception staff, and the way the management treats guests are all negative points.

Contacting the staff was quick and easy, and the place is super central. The room is clean, has a large bathroom, a safe, and a fridge, which is absolutely useful in these temperatures. The balcony was spacious and you could comfortably watch the bustle below. I liked the dimmable bedside lamps with USB ports. Personally, a kettle for instant coffee would have been nice since there’s no breakfast option and everything here is quite pricey. Just around the corner is Johns Bakery with huge sandwiches (starting at $4.95) and good coffee (starting at $1.50). If you’re sensitive to noise, especially in the mornings, it’s better to book a place a few streets over. I usually sleep well and had to get up early for my Spanish class, so it was fine. I’d book here again anytime.

The hotel’s location is perfect for starting all the tours around Bocas because all the docks are on the street below the hotel. The room has good AC and fans, which are super necessary here. You also have easy access to cafés and restaurants; the best cafés in town are right on the lower floors of the same building and the one next door. The host’s quick replies to any questions are appreciated, and they let us store our luggage until check‑in, so they’re flexible. However, even though the responses are fast, they’re not always effective: the curtain support in our room broke and wasn’t fixed during our stay, and the TV was a mystery to us. These are minor issues. Also, some nights can be a bit noisy because of the location; it’s not a negative about the place, just a heads‑up for anyone who expects total silence, especially on weekends.

The balcony - shared by two or three apartments, but is massive so still feels like you are on your own. Great location - central but not noisy. Took some back and forth with the property manager to get the correct code to enter the room. Thankfully the cleaning lady was there and was able to help us get in. No provisions for hanging wet towels and clothes after a day at the beach
