A very nicely located accommodation with a lot of charm and history. Super friendly hosts run their hotel with a lot of love.

Fantastic hosts who were very helpful, engaged, and chatty. The place is full of history—worth exploring with Barbara. The location is great, close to the Soca Valley and all regional attractions. The large lake‑side rooms are quiet and pleasant. Morning coffee is brewed in the kitchen. Right next to the hotel you can eat breakfast or dinner. The surroundings are beautiful. I definitely recommend it. The only downside is the street‑side noise, but that’s a consequence of being in the town center. There was no air conditioning on hot nights. The bathroom is outside the room and sometimes shared with other guests, which should be better described in the room specs. This isn’t a huge problem, just affects the perceived value for money, and the price is relatively high (and it’s hard to find a better or cheaper place nearby).

Lovely, charming host Barbara and her husband. A nice, tidy, spacious room right in the village center. Everything else was fine.

We stayed two nights in this old house in Most na Soči, run by Barbara, a warm Slovenian woman, and Aurelio, her husband. Let’s be upfront: this isn’t a standardized European stay. The bathrooms are shared, located in common areas, and privacy in the usual sense is limited. There is no air conditioning, which nowadays is a real drawback during the hot summer months. If you’re looking for hotel‑level comforts, this probably isn’t it. But what it lacks in modern conveniences, it makes up for in something rarer. Our hosts had a genuine love of calm conversation, unhurried talks about books, life, and whatever came up. Their intention is to provide a slower rhythm to the whole stay, the kind that’s hard to find these days. If you go in expecting rustic simplicity rather than luxury, and you enjoy the company of thoughtful hosts, you’ll likely leave with more than you came for. Not for everyone, but a memorable stop for travelers who value connection over comfort.
