“Sadly, I would not book this hotel again.”

Nothing good to report. Our stay at the Asiana Hotel in Deira, Dubai, was far below expectations. We booked three rooms, and each had its own faults, which was unacceptable given the price. In my room, water leaked from the ceiling in the bathroom—likely related to the air‑conditioning system, though that was never confirmed. We reported it to management, but the leak persisted for two days before we were moved to another room, an inconvenience that was simply unacceptable. The overall condition of the hotel was disappointing: it feels tired, dated, and in need of major investment. Repairs and workmanship were poor, with visible wear and damage that don’t reflect the standards expected of a hotel of this caliber. The photos in this review show some of the conditions we encountered. This isn’t a place that just needs a fresh coat of paint; it requires a comprehensive refurbishment. The experience was even more disappointing when I compared it to the hotels we stayed in during our visit to China just before arriving in Dubai, which were in a similar price range but offered considerably better accommodation, condition, and service. The gap between what we received at Asiana Hotel and what we believe should be expected for the money is stark.

“Short layover”

The location is superb and the reception is warm and friendly as always, with plenty of restaurant options at reasonable prices. It was nice to see the spa facilities reopening, but the sauna and steam rooms were not working during my visit.

The place was quiet, clean, and close to shopping centers. However, the way one front‑desk employee handled a situation was poor; I felt there was a lack of trust between the staff and the guest, as they didn’t provide a service that would make the guest comfortable. When I was about to check out, the employee called me two hours early and demanded an extension, specifying a particular amount, and I agreed. I told him I would pay the due amount at checkout, but he refused and told me to leave immediately to pay, which shows a lack of trust between the employee and the guest.
