Because we were so happy last time, we booked again at this centrally located hotel, enjoying its comfort, breakfast, and friendliness; there’s nothing to complain about, and we’ll keep coming back. If you don’t want to drive, the bus connections are excellent—clean, punctual, and the network is well developed.

Everything from the friendly staff to the amenities and the wonderfully swim‑ready pool at Hotel Franz is perfect; the breakfast buffet was the highlight, not only fully stocked but also sensibly arranged so related items were easy to find—unlike other hotels where you have to hunt for cereal bowls. The hotel rightly earns four stars, exuding the façade, interior design, and overall equipment of a business hotel more than a vacation haven, and it feels very cool.

The staff were very welcoming, kind, attentive, and ready to give us tips on what to see; a special thanks to Sonia at reception for her friendly, helpful info on off‑the‑beaten‑path spots. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were exceptional, the best of all my trips so far. Dinner was praised for its regional dishes—well‑crafted, never too plentiful—and there was a wide selection of local and other wines. The dining staff at both breakfast and dinner were very kind and attentive, and the sommelier helped with wine pairings and explained the origins. The spa, though small, was cozy—a real gem, especially for solo travelers. The room was very comfortable, tidy, with plenty of support points. Daily towel changes and linen changes (even without asking) were greatly appreciated. Absolutely recommend.

The breakfast was excellent, especially the range of gluten‑free options and organic teas. As soon as you enter the breakfast room, friendly staff greet you and ask for your drink preferences; everything is promptly placed on the table. The sink is old and has many glaze cracks, and the rugs on the steps and in the hallways are no longer inviting or modern.
