We loved the live music at the bar in the evenings, although the space was tight. I’m deeply disappointed with the hotel and its restaurant. The reviews I read were mostly positive, yet our experience was the opposite. The room looked newly renovated, but the side tables were tiny, barely holding a phone and a glass. The worst part was the mattress—it seemed unchanged from before the renovation and lacked support. Parking was only street‑only, so when we arrived late the nearby spots were gone and we had to lug our bags farther. We ended up eating at the restaurant; the service was poor and the food was mediocre, except for the Asian beef starter. I ordered lamb as the main and it was the only time in seven years abroad I had to return food. Breakfast was just okay; they tried interesting items, but the flavor pairings didn’t mesh—my ham‑cheese toastie with onion jam on brown bread was a mismatch.
