“Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience – do NOT book”
We booked the Jungle Villa / Penthouse and, after a very long journey, arrived to find one of the worst accommodation experiences we’ve ever had. First, we had to carry all our luggage five floors up on foot, using unsafe, unsecured stairs, just to reach the penthouse—exhausting and unreasonable. When we finally got to the apartment, it was not ready at all. The local staff had no idea we were arriving or that a booking existed. The apartment was clearly not cleaned: old underwear from the previous guest was still lying around, nail scissors were left out, the beds were not made, the entire place was dirty, and no housekeeping had been done. We were told they were trying to contact the manager/host, but she was completely unreachable. To this day, she has never contacted us, and we have received no explanation, no apology, and no information. The people on site—a very kind family helping with check‑in—were friendly but completely overwhelmed and unable to help. In the end, they arranged for us to stay with acquaintances of theirs so that we at least had a place to sleep in the middle of the night; otherwise, we would have been left stranded. After all this, we had to carry all luggage five floors back down again, which was an enormous additional burden after an already stressful situation. This accommodation was not usable, the booking was clearly not managed properly, and the risk of being left without a place to stay is extremely high. Honestly, this felt like a scam. I strongly advise everyone to stay far away from this property and do not book it under any circumstances.
