The unobstructed view of the pyramids was simply dreamlike, and the very friendly staff greeted us warmly, while the large beds ensured a completely restful sleep. Unfortunately, the photos did not match reality: the hotel looked very rundown—perhaps it resembled the pictures from many years ago. The pool still exists but is also in a state of decay, and a huge, extremely noisy eight‑lane road runs right in front of the hotel.

The little guest house is wonderfully located, the staff are very attentive, and the pool—rare in Cairo—is a bit chilly but still enjoyable; the view of the pyramids is lovely. There’s no on‑site dining, but the local Uber Eats service (Talabat) works great, and the bedding was comfortable so we slept well. The bathroom feels old‑fashioned, though.

The breakfast was disappointing, and the staff’s strict, inflexible attitude was worse than the army when it comes to breakfast hours; they even made you stretch to check your room before departure, something I’d never seen in another hotel (or at least it was very discreet).

There was no breakfast in my reservation. I was locked out of the hotel’s outer gate, couldn’t leave for morning prayer, and had no water or tea supplies; I called but received no reply. They told me they’d bring a kettle at eight in the morning, so I booked another hotel through you instead. Unfortunately, the 4‑star hotel was a scam: the elevator was broken, I was moved to a 3‑star property with worse service for three nights, they didn’t clean or change linens, and leftover drinks and food from outside were left in the room on the third day, and no water bottle was offered.
