The room was nice. The pool has to be paid for, which is unbelievable; I had never encountered such a situation. The reception staff are not friendly, and there was no one to refill the breakfast.

The staff were super friendly, the rooms spacious, the terraces beautiful with great views that made you want to relax. Breakfast was varied, everything was clean, and the pool was also great. The only issue was the bathroom in the room: the shower water leaked no matter how careful you were, and the toilet seat and lid weren't fixed, so they kept moving. Other than those small things, everything was fine.

The hotel looked gorgeous and was very quiet, but I didn't sleep well because the pillows were too soft; I need firm ones to avoid back pain, although the mattress was fine.

The breakfast was very extensive, and the view from the dining room was lovely. The lady who received us was very friendly. Rooms at the front had balconies and a nice view. It’s in a place where you can easily drive in different directions. Arganil is a nice town. There was a large kettle, nice cups for tea, and a water jug. Our room, on the side, had no view, no balcony, and was extremely damp; everything was clammy. Even the luggage became clammy. The sheets were clammy, so we had to open the beds and use the hairdryer, which helped little. No matter what we did—air conditioning on or off, warm or cold—it stayed that way. In the bathroom a shower curtain hung, making the floor wet and there was no drain or basin, only a too-small bath mat to mop. On the second day there were too few towels and the shampoo and shower gel weren't refilled. On the last day (our third day here) the water jug was clearly filled with tap water instead of a bottle, it smelled and tasted very chlorinated. They could address these points well to improve the hotel.

A modern and atmospheric hotel with good beds and an extensive breakfast. However, there was deferred maintenance in the room and common areas, which detracted from functionality and the overall impression. Defects included plumbing, painting, and repair work. Otherwise it scores even higher.
