The welcome was very warm, the setting is perfect above the beach of Honfleur, quiet, surrounded by a very beautiful, well‑maintained garden, and the breakfast is lovely. The restaurant menu should include lighter options for hotel residents; we don’t always feel like eating gastro every night.

Pictures can be misleading, but the overall experience on arrival and at breakfast was poor. We arrived late afternoon after a long journey only to be told the restaurant was closed. We were handed a laminated list of town restaurants, but the lady who gave it couldn’t tell us which ones were open. Breakfast was a major disappointment with no clear information about what was available. It was a complete mess with bad communication. A cafetière was offered that was far too diluted, and cheeses were handed to us on a plate by hand. More training is needed and a clearer menu or information process is required if you’re paying for Bed & Breakfast. What a shame…?

The view is peaceful, but the villa (a large unit) isn’t properly maintained; some of its facilities don’t work.

The place has a Norman character and the staff are helpful. We enjoyed the sea view, fresh clean sea air, beautiful grounds, and it was quiet enough for sleeping. The only problems were running out of hot water while showering and the bed slanted to one side.
