Hotel Las Arenas overlooks the sea in Can Pastilla, a short walk from the beach and a bus stop with connections to Palma city centre, 100 metres away. Palma Airport is a 5-minute drive. The hotel features an outdoor pool, terrace bar with sea views, buffet restaurant, and lounge bar with live music, ideal for a beach holiday with easy access to shops, bars, and island capital.

The roof terrace was truly a highlight, but I only stayed one night and went straight to the pool the next morning. There was a long line at the coffee machine, but that’s normal during peak times. Everything else was fine.

It was okay overall. The food was always the same and sometimes undercooked or overcooked, which I would have liked to see improved, and it would be nice to have small kettles in the rooms.

The staff were very nice, but it was a disaster. It’s nowhere near a four‑star hotel; a three‑star is a very tight fit. The 8.6 rating on Booking is totally fabricated. The rooms are small and poorly insulated; you can hear everything, even the garbage truck at 7 am. We had no hot water, and despite notifying them on day 1, it wasn’t fixed. The breakfast was among the worst I’ve seen, with bad products for tourists who’ve never eaten that before. On top of that, the elevator was broken for four days, forcing us to carry a baby stroller up and down five floors. A real marvel.
