Hampton Inn Kansas City - Airport

Parking was easy and getting to the room was simple; the beds at Hampton Inns are always good and the breakfast options were nice. The toilets felt shorter than normal, the bowl had pink streaks and barely flushed, and each flush seemed like it could overflow. I was too exhausted from traveling to call for a plumber or a room change, so I just tolerated it. I needed one wash cycle, but the single washer and dryer were constantly occupied by construction workers staying at the hotel.

The location and the airport shuttle were fine, but the front desk told me I’d need a credit card for a refundable pet deposit of $50, while I thought I’d only be charged $25 for my pet. I ended up paying $75 total, never got the $50 back, and my card went over the limit. I would never have brought my pet if I’d known this, especially since it didn’t even make a mess.

“Another solid Hampton Inn”

The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. The gym had free weights, including dumbbells up to 75 pounds, and the room was comfortable with a good bed and a walk‑in shower. The bathroom’s single light switch also turns on the fan, which is loud and often unnecessary; separate switches would be better. The toilet is short, which is uncomfortable for taller guests. All the cool things to do in Kansas City are more than a 20‑minute drive away.

Everything was extremely clean, the breakfast was good, and there were no issues at all—I would highly recommend staying here! The place was very clean.

Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The bed, however, was not comfortable.
