I stayed at a tidy hotel in Santander, and while the city itself has limited activities, the place is well situated with a lovely view of the straight between Cebu and Negros. The coffee bar across the street, which belongs to the hotel, serves excellent coffee, but the coffee offered inside the hotel is only instant.

The breakfast was hearty and satisfying, and the location near the port was great. The resort’s garden was very pretty and enjoyable on a good day. The room could use a bit more soundproofing, though the issue isn’t too severe.

The staff were kind and hospitable, and the location was easily accessible. The only downside was that there was no TV in the room.

We spent a night here before catching the boat to Dumaguete, and it’s only a two‑minute walk to the port, which is very convenient! There’s a restaurant and café on site, and the sunset was gorgeous. The room’s décor and equipment could be improved.
