Hotel Meridiana in Bellano offers direct lake access from its garden and two terraces. Compact, cosy rooms feature flat-screen TVs, tea/coffee makers, and private bathrooms. Many rooms have furnished lake-view balconies. The hotel serves meals on a lake-view terrace, has a wine cellar, and a sun deck with hot tub. Located between Varenna and Dervio, parking is available for an extra charge.

The tranquility of the hotel. First of all, it is not in a very touristy village. Also, being a bit away from the village center, we were able to rest without noise. The rooms are spacious and well kept. The terrace overlooking Lake Como was spectacular. We also liked the breakfast service and the dinner menu a lot. The toilet could have a shower instead of a bathtub.

Perfect location right on Lake Como, 8 minutes' walk from the ferry, and 15 minutes' walk from the train station. Clean, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing rooms. Staff were all lovely and kind and the hotel manager, Angelo, took great care of us while we were here. Breakfast every morning was great and the hotel restaurant was amazing. The town, Bellano, is right next to Varenna on the train line, which gave us more options when it came to getting around the lake. The town Bellano is also not one of the major tourist towns on Lake Como, which meant that it wasn't crazy crowded. Would recommend staying here if you want somewhere a bit more peaceful

The spot is amazing, right on the beach with a balcony, great food, coffee, and friendly staff, though the rooms feel a bit cramped.

The room was clean, but I booked for a lake view. When I opened the window, all I saw was land and a swarm of mosquitoes, so I shut it immediately. I had requested a lake‑view table when I booked the restaurant, but was told the reservation was already taken and I had to give up. I walked to the lakeside to find an empty table that had no setting, wondering why I wasn’t directed there. I couldn’t open the window in my room, and the restaurant had no lakeside seating, making my stay feel pointless. Breakfast and dinner were served in the same place. On the first morning, I chose my own seat because the table wasn’t set, and that was the only time I could see the lake. On the second morning, staff told me to sit in a spot that didn’t show the lake, directing me to a cramped interior seat. We were three people in a two‑person chair. If it was crowded, I understand, but with plenty of empty seats, why was I led to a tight spot? Lake Como is beautiful, but this hotel let me down.

The view is stunning right by the lake, parking is available, dogs are welcome, and the staff are all fantastic and very helpful. Bellano’s quieter vibe is a bonus compared to busier towns like Bellagio. Breakfast and dinner were superb in a lovely setting overlooking the lake. Nothing else to mention.
