“Buena ubicación, pero demasiado básico y con pocas comodidades”

The place is well situated, a few minutes on foot from the beach and a bit away from the center to avoid the noise yet not too far. The rooms are fairly clean and there’s an outside tap to rinse sand from your feet after the beach. The staff are very friendly and attentive, giving good recommendations for places to visit and eat on the island. The ant problem in the bathroom was quickly fixed after we reported it. The hotel is quite basic and lacks a pleasant outdoor area to relax. The common courtyards were unusable: one had no furniture, the other was full of abandoned, rusted construction material. The room was rather dark and you had to keep the curtain closed to maintain privacy. There were two 1.35 m beds; we would have preferred a 1.50 m bed and a smaller one for the child. There was no fridge in the room, only in a shared kitchen on the first floor, which was inconvenient, especially at night. They don’t offer beach towels, which we found important for an island accommodation.

“Très bel endroit mais pas a l’étage de la cuisine”

The location was great, just a few metres from the beach, and the pool looked beautiful while the host was quick to respond and friendly. However, the room above the pool was noisy; even though the pool’s hours are 8 am to 10 pm, the microwave kept beeping and the American‑style fridge opened and closed outside those times, so we only got quiet between midnight and 7 am, making mornings hard to sleep. The shared kitchen is roomy, but the trash bin is tiny and fills up fast, and the cleanliness depends on who you share it with – a different floor might have been better.

“Cómodo,cercano a todo y con estilo”

The pool was great and the kitchen offered a generous spread, plus they served fresh water to guests; the fridge was spacious and well‑organized, the beach was just a minute away and a 7‑minute walk from the centre, the place was very bright and the house rules kept the sand off the floor, but they didn’t clean the room each day.

“Comfortable and well-located — just ask for a room on an upper floor.”

The spot is ideally between the beach and the city, with a large, air‑conditioned room and a wonderful rain shower. The main drawback is that the room sits on the ground floor, which I should have checked before booking. It was very exposed to mosquitoes, full of dead ones and other traces, and ants came in too. The property’s proximity to the jungle makes this somewhat unavoidable, but the upper floors and kitchen area felt much better. One window faced a pile of construction materials, which explains why the curtains are closed in the listing photos.
