We stayed in a traditional Balinese house with a balcony that looked out over the sea, and the room was thoughtfully designed, spacious, and featured beautiful Balinese woodwork and artifacts. The partial outdoor bathroom was large, and the bath offered a spectacular view. We also visited the spa and received a Balinese massage and reflexology that left us feeling more relaxed than ever. The staff were very professional, never a bother, attentive, and interesting to chat with. The food was good; we enjoyed the Indonesian dishes and the summer rolls were delicious. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay and we wished we could have stayed longer! Nothing to dislike.

“Secluded comfort”

Secluded, intimate, beautiful: everything was perfect at Semaya Beach Resort. The rooms were great quality. For those who want to feel “protected” from the outside wildlife, the place checks all boxes (except our villa was with outdoor bathroom but this was not a problem at all for us). The spaces of the hotel are well imagined so it almost always feels like you have the place to yourself. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our only minor comments would be: 1) since you are secluded, you rely heavily on the hotel’s restaurant and we found it a little bit frustrating that a luxury ocean front establishment on an island would not propose fresh fish of the day. Overall it was clear that not many ingredients were fresh (we asked from time to time) and while this is understandable because of the location, hopefully this is something that be fixed at least by having a few fresh specials off-menu. 2) although there were several pillows, they were all quite big and solid. We asked for softer pillows and the reception arranged it immediately, but the new ones were memory-foam ones which weren’t a lot better than the others. Maybe this can be fixed easily as well by having a few softer pillows in stock for clients who ask. That said, the down sides did not affect our overall experience which was really great!!

I had a wonderful stay at this resort. The hospitality was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay truly comfortable and memorable. A special thank you to all staff for their outstanding hospitality and assistance throughout our stay. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. The resort also enjoys a great location, making it convenient to explore the surrounding area and nearby attractions. Overall, an excellent experience with outstanding service, warm hospitality, and a great location. Highly recommended, and I would definitely love to return!

The place is beautiful, the staff are incredible, the views are great, and the pools are awesome. The only downside is that it feels a bit remote in terms of location, and I think it’s slightly overpriced.
