The spot was central and close to all the restaurants, etc.; everything was great.

A very friendly guy from Iran at the check‑in desk stayed late and made me feel welcome when I was exhausted; the hotel sits down a few steps, so finding it in the evening was a bit tricky. Live guitar and singing from a bar next door lulled me to sleep after midnight, and the place offers good value for money in Istanbul/Taksim; I only stayed one night and had to leave early, so I barely got to explore. The dorm was a bit cramped, the bathroom a little small and could have been cleaner, but you can’t complain about the price.

The front‑desk staff were friendly and let me check in after midnight; the bathroom was gross and there were no clean sheets. I arrived super late and just needed a place to crash, but it really wasn’t worth it.
