“Comfortable inn for the Yorkshire moors”

The old inn in the centre of Pickering was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly; the restaurant offered excellent food and the bar had good Yorkshire beer, with daily dinner specials that sold out fast. The hotel was very clean, and there was plenty of free parking at the rear. Many guests had stayed there multiple times. Pickering itself is an interesting old market town and a good base for exploring the Yorkshire moors and coast, including Whitby. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs from Pickering to Whitby through scenic countryside.

“Really enjoyed our stay . Made to feel really welcome”

I stayed in a great spot and the staff were lovely, but the stairs could have used a bit more light and the room above was a little noisy.
