“Wonderful comfortable weekend break in Birmingham was made perfect by my stay at this lovely spotless hotel.”
The place was immaculate, and I spent Saturday working from my room with flawless Wi‑Fi for my laptop. The bed was unbelievably comfy, and the silence was so profound you could hear a pin drop; the blackout curtains gave me the best sleep I’ve had in ages. Breakfast was outstanding, and I can’t find any flaw—everything was just wonderful.
“Snowshill - mystery shopper...09/26”
I liked the shower size, shelving, hot water, and good pressure. Housekeeping was extremely friendly and stocked refreshments, towels, and bin liners. All three elevators worked, so waiting time on the floor was short. The bed was comfortable, the TV worked and was user‑friendly. At breakfast, vegetarian sausages were ordered and delivered quickly; the manager mentioned they were made 10 minutes earlier, but they were cold. A microwave was in the breakfast area, so I could reheat them (a brilliant idea!). I would have preferred to wait for fresh ones and have my continental breakfast meanwhile. Reception staff were professional and there was always someone present day or night, which made me feel safe. They promptly brought an electric fan heater as an alternative—thank you. No fridge in the room; I had to use the windowsill to store food, which isn’t ideal for a sun‑facing room. At breakfast, I saw a catering staff member refilling the bread station without gloves—this needs to be fixed immediately. The bread rolls ran out, and the manager (who I assume is in charge) brought warm burger buns to the table. I was grateful, smiled, thanked him, but pointed out that they were actually warmed‑up burger buns for beef burgers, not breakfast rolls. I told my colleague about the manager’s comment, and we both found it rude and unprofessional that he interrupted our conversation and said “their breakfast buns.” We were so underwhelmed by breakfast that we didn’t return the next day. Breakfast times could be listed on the room card holders. I had a few facial bites from sleeping in room 1902 and showed the staff (visual bites on my left cheek and under my bottom lip), so I reported this to reception/manager upon departure. A few staff were at the desk at the time and assured me they would investigate further. The room had scuffed skirting near the bed and various carpet stains, which lowered the presentation, but otherwise everything else was fine. The air‑con had a padlock symbol when I checked online using AI—how to turn on the heating, it said only management could unlock this feature.
“Perfect Little Stopover”
The staff treated us very well; they were friendly, helpful, and attentive. The room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was plentiful. The only downside was the noisy air conditioning that kept ticking.
“На пару дней отлично. Недешево, но комфортно.”
The location is good: 10 minutes on foot to Victoria Square, 15 to the main station, tram and bus stops 1 minute away. The room is spacious, the bed is large and comfortable, linens are clean and replaced on request. The bathroom is modern and functional. A tea station is available, which is important. Check‑in was very fast, even 2 hours early. There is a luggage storage, which is very helpful at check‑out. The fridge was missing. Breakfast is sufficient, but I would have liked a bit more variety.
Everything was fine: nice room and breakfast. The location was excellent, very close to the city center and quiet.
