“A gorgeous, well-loved and well-tended place in a special part of the country”
Celine is an absolute gem – she made us feel right at home and served a fresh, al‑fresco breakfast every morning that was just delicious. The property is tucked away on the edge of town, quiet and wild, and the two local craft breweries are a nice bonus if you enjoy a good brew. Just a heads‑up: bring bug spray and long pants, because we learned the hard way that the insects will bite you badly if you show up in shorts.
“Espetacular!”
The place was simply spectacular – stunning views, comfortable rooms and a vibe that made the whole trip feel special.
Exceptional experience – the setting is gorgeous with beautiful trails and abundant flora and fauna, and the lodges are comfortable with terraces and outdoor kitchenettes. Meals are a highlight, from fresh homemade breakfasts to dinner service, and the host’s advice on activities was spot on; we felt more at ease here than at home. No real complaints so far, just looking forward to the next visit.
“Perfect couple of days to see the rainforest with wonderful hospitality in a unique place”
Cecelia greeted us right when we arrived, got us settled and sorted out tour bookings without any hassle, and her breakfasts – with fresh juices, homemade bread and eggs made to order – were fantastic. The setting is deep in the rainforest, so expect a few bugs and make sure you have proper shoes. Overall a warm welcome and tasty mornings.
“Great stay in nature with helpful owner. Great room set-up”
We loved the rustic feel of the lodge, the abundance of wildlife, and the thoughtful touches like QR‑coded guides, umbrellas and a drying rack; the little pool would have been perfect on a sunny day, and the owner was always helpful, even turning the outdoor dining area into an extra bedroom for our eldest. Breakfast was a bit thin for our picky kids – no cereal or toaster – so we’d bring our own if we came back, and the rain made the trails too slick to use and the pool too cold to enjoy.
