The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the spot was right next to the train station for SaPa trains, so I could leave my bags there until the train left. Breakfast was disappointing—no butter for the toast, the water wasn’t refilled, the scrambled eggs and rice were dry, and the Pho station was empty. Knowing this, I would have avoided the breakfast option.

The location was fantastic—just steps from the railway station, so we checked in and were in our room within 30 minutes of arriving on the train; we only stayed one night, but it’s a solid choice for transit stays. The bathroom door wouldn’t close or lock properly, and breakfast was very ordinary.

There were plenty of smoking areas outside the room, but the front desk was awful and showed no kindness.

The location and breakfast were fine, but we arrived very late and seemed to get the last room; the sheets were dirty and hadn’t been changed, the shower didn’t match the photos—a 50 cm shower head next to the toilet with no divider, making it hard to use unless you’re slim. We won’t complain because the price was unbeatable, but if there had been a shower photo we wouldn’t have chosen this hotel.
