We really enjoyed our stay at Bluegum Church and can’t wait to come back next year! Thank you. The property was excellent, the only thing that was a bit off is that the Wi‑Fi didn’t work for us at all. We were okay with that though.

I loved the vibe and how distinct the place feels, but the hot water in the shower kept fluctuating while I was showering.

The spot’s location was great, yet the cleanliness left something to be desired.

The property matched our needs while visiting friends in Stanley, but the church was freezing; the heating relied on a wood fire and an electric wall heater, which wasn’t very effective, and the bedroom heaters weren’t plugged in. It would have been nice if the fire was already burning when we arrived.

It’s a unique and cozy place, though the decor feels like a mishmash and the bathroom window is see‑through; even though it’s remote, it would be better to shower without knowing someone can see straight in.
