Even though the hotel is close to the airport, the room was very quiet. The shuttle to the airport from the front door costs GBP7 each and was good value—we took the 4.44am one. A pub is within a 15‑minute walk, and there’s a bar and restaurant on site. The kettle and cups were provided, but there was no tea or coffee; I presume you have to buy it from a vending machine in the lobby.

The location is secure and safe, and the little village next to the hotel offers convenient and better‑than‑average food services. You can take advantage of walks to the big park, which has an outdoor gym that serves the over‑50 set who need some tune‑ups. The park is safe. I would recommend that you conserve water and not litter with any used refuse—follow common sense and save on water! For the IBIS Corp, I would launch an environmental obligation plaque in each room asking customers to follow regional rules of keeping the environment clean. I noticed that the roadway and walkways are forever littered with some sort of garbage, making us wonder how the city employs these clean‑up guys to do a better job. Also conserve water with showers and use of sink flow, and keep management aware of any irregularities. Customer care follows real awareness and responsibility that is UK wide.

It’s what you’d expect from a budget airport hotel, though it’s a bit of a bus ride from Heathrow compared to some of the others. Even though there’s a kettle in the room, you still have to purchase a Tea Package.

The value was good, the location excellent, the place clean, and parking was available. However, kids ran around screaming and shouting at midnight, and it was shocking and outraged that families and parents didn’t control their behaviour. It was totally disrespectful to other guests who had to get up early for work. I also struggled to find a parking space, but a staff member freed one up, so I was very grateful.
