“Upgrade mit Schafen und Peepshow”

We received the bungalow as an unexpected upgrade and were more than satisfied: it’s very roomy for three people, nice and tastefully decorated, and the morning view from the terrace of the sheep herd across the street is priceless. The only thing that bothered us a bit was the view from the immediate neighbors into the bedroom and bathroom – there simply isn’t a privacy screen if you don’t want to give the adjacent vacationers a show while they have breakfast on the terrace.

We loved staying at Vital Camp Bayerbach as a family; the cabin on the hill was great and surprisingly came with a dishwasher. The top floor got warm without air‑conditioning, but we solved that by bringing two fans. The cabin comfortably fits four people and even offers an outdoor dining option. The swimming lake (or pond, depending on how you call it) provided plenty of entertainment. The surroundings were peaceful and the other campers, mostly Germans, were polite and friendly. Our children, aged 6 and 9, had a blast on the site, though I can see why it might not suit teenagers. The restaurant offered good value for money. Overall, a top camp! Just remember the site sits on a hillside, and there may be laundry facilities available on the premises. The only downside for us was that the beds felt too firm, though that can vary by person.

Thank you so much to the incredibly friendly and positive, lovely Mrs. Finstermaier (I hope you spell her name correctly) 😊. She welcomed us warmly and made us feel very secure. The village above the chapel is very charming; the houses are tidy, clean, and spacious. The pool is small but lovely, especially the sauna area—clean, well‑maintained, and truly ample. Unfortunately, our apartment wasn’t set up as it should have been upon arrival, but that was fixed quickly. The double bed was extremely lumpy, disrupting our sleep for one night, and the different pillows also had a negative effect. We also missed having a small hair dryer.
