The place was spotless—absolutely stunning.
“Over achieved”
The historic building’s location was gorgeous, and the tavern was a highlight. One bartender was rude and pushy, drawing the attention of a couple sitting next to us while we tried to order dinner.
“Nice accommodations right downtown Lexington”
We didn’t eat at the hotel, and breakfast wasn’t included in the rate. Wi‑Fi was problematic because the code didn’t work; they had my name wrong. Our room wasn’t in the main building, so we had to take the elevator to the second floor, walk across to another building, go through a door, and then a hallway to reach our room.
“Cadillac house.”
The staff were friendly and the room was clean with a nice view, and the location was convenient for shops and restaurants. However, the door bolt lock on our room didn’t work; the staff claimed it was still locked from the outside. When we arrived the room was 65°F and it took a long time to warm up. The coffee machine in the room was broken, so we couldn’t make coffee to warm ourselves. The public restaurant area was open, which made us feel unsafe and chilly.
“Overall good. Not great.”
The location was nice! Close by to everything. Staff were great. Clean for the most part. Parking was easy and dinner/bar room was nice! We did enjoy the robes that were in the room as well! Nice building. 8/10. The bed we had wasn’t very comfortable and pillows were lacking comfort for the price we paid. Also the smell was quite unpleasant in the hallways due to I think some new renovations/work which is fine hard to control that
