The hospitality was very good and generous, and they were attentive to our needs. We weren’t sure what “Katun” meant when we booked, so we didn’t expect such a rustic setting, but the hospitality was still very nice.

The location is beautiful, the welcome is great, and the food is delicious. Surrounded by animals, it feels very rural. It is very primitive, which actually adds to its charm. The host sometimes reminds you she has to leave when the cows need milking, for example. Don’t expect luxury, but everything you need is there.

The location, food, welcome, everything exceeded our expectations.

An amazing place, close to nature with beautiful views, and the people are helpful and great. It isn’t a typical spot, so it isn’t recommended for people who expect easy access (the mountain road can be scary) or who need a fully equipped luxury apartment.

We had a great experience and a chance to learn about farming in the mountains. The family and kids were very friendly, welcomed us, and invited us to play. The mountain hike was great and we got to try local food. The whole family was super friendly and approachable, showing us all the details of their simple, back‑to‑nature lifestyle. The surrounding mountains are absolutely thrilling and worth exploring on hiking tours. It was impossible to get there with our small car, but the hosts could help with a transfer, although it was relatively expensive. Once there, you don’t need a car and can explore the fantastic mountain location. Communicating in English was a bit difficult because of their limited language abilities.
