We had breakfast one day and the presentation of the dishes was lovely, though the food itself was not very tasty and was served cold. The hotel is beautiful, well‑located, and the service is excellent with all staff being super friendly. Troncones is very pretty, its beach is gorgeous, and at this time of year it’s very calm but extremely hot. The sea water is fresh and pleasant, but the pool water is warm because of the climate. They provide thin towels for the pool and beach that dry quickly and don’t cling to sand, which I loved. The beds are very comfortable, the sheets are delightful, and you can sleep listening to the waves. The hotel is gorgeous, but although it claims to be very eco‑friendly, the windows lack glass and, even with blinds, it’s so dark that you have to open them to see the view; because it’s hot you need air conditioning and the cold escapes, making it totally anti‑eco. All staff are charming, but the owner arrived and was unable to greet us or ask if we were comfortable; we found that very rude.

The place was clean, the staff were friendly and always helpful, the beachfront was nice, and the bar served good cocktails. It just feels too pricey for what it offers. There’s no TV, no safe, and the air conditioning is far too small for the room size (ask any engineer), so the bathroom stays hot all the time. No mini‑fridge, the bar closes at 10 pm, and you can’t bring alcohol into the room. The overall vibe feels weird—like Dracula meets Jesus in Texas—and I didn’t like it. The rooms are dark; if you want natural light you have to open everything, and the door doesn’t feel secure—it’s easy to open. Staff leave at 10 pm, leaving you alone.

The hotel boasts attractive architectural design and good facilities, yet the overall experience falls short. Service is slow, especially with drinks where wait times are excessive. The staff are friendly, but the attention is lacking and doesn’t match the place’s appearance. The biggest issue is the day‑pass handling; they allow too many people in without any control, which overfills the common areas. As a guest, you lose the sense of comfort and exclusivity you’d expect. In short, the hotel sells an experience it can’t sustain. Good design, but poor management.

The property itself is very nice, offering direct beach access, a pool, and a beach bar. The staff barely spoke any English. The room had no windows at all (!). The hotel’s theme, heavy on Catholic cross symbolism, is polarizing. The value for money was not delivered.
