“Good hotel just be prepared to sort ur parking”
The place is clean and the layout is quirky but impressive; the rooms are great and I can’t find any faults. The only downside is the lack of parking, so I had to park on the street.

The place sits in a great spot, easy to reach from town, and the price is very reasonable. The staff everywhere are helpful and friendly. The en‑suite bathroom wasn’t clean when I arrived, but the staff on duty was very receptive and fixed it right away, making it perfect.

The hotel looks gorgeous and the rooms are spacious and cozy. Everyone on the staff is super friendly and helpful. The spot is convenient unless it rains, then it feels a bit distant from the main sights if you like walking. Nothing about the hotel itself was an issue, but when you get to the airport and want to catch a bus to the hotel, double‑check the address. We told the ticket officer “Portobello,” but Portobello is huge and the bus dropped us far from the hotel, about an 18‑minute walk.

The hotel is fine overall, but I didn’t know that direct access to the hotel was closed because of building works that have been ongoing for over a year.

Getting to town is easy on foot or by public transport, the breakfast is good, and the dining area and my room offer nice canal-side views. Watching a heron just a few meters away while eating was a small highlight. However, there’s no ambient lighting to read by in the room; the two light settings are both too bright. I paid full price for six nights, and after the first night I asked staff for a lamp, but they couldn’t offer a solution. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that didn’t have a proper reading light.
