The room was spacious and decorated in a very typical Moroccan style. The front‑desk guy was very helpful and let us check out at 17.30 because our flight was that night. The breakfast was very complete. There were almost no other guests and we noticed a bit of a lack of overall cleaning. We wanted to have breakfast on the terrace one morning and it looked a little abandoned. The Dar has a lot of potential; if they took a bit more care it would be better.

The owner speaks Italian and offers to take you on city tours, inside and outside the medina, recommends where to eat and typical products to buy in his shop. He cares that guests are comfortable and satisfied. The room was much smaller than the expected size.

The host came to pick us up at the nearest door to walk us to the Riad, which made our arrival in Fez’s Medina much easier, since it’s hard to move around there, Google Maps gets lost and some people give wrong directions. When we arrived, towels and soap were missing, but they were promptly provided after we mentioned it. Extra towels are available on request. Breakfast is good, varied and plentiful. Accommodation recommended! Unfortunately we had booking issues, as we received emails asking us to cancel and saying we hadn’t paid. Booking support managed to resolve the problem and everything ended up fine.
