The new apartment is nice and has all the usual amenities like a washing machine and a kitchen. The spot might turn people off because it’s in the Nishinari ward.

Friendly staff who answered quickly, and the apartment is cheap for the square meters you get, though it’s very basic. The location is central and close to several metro stations, but it sits right between the red light district and a homeless shelter, so we were bothered by homeless people while walking to the hotel. The kitchen is minimal; there’s no sink or dishes to wash, and you only get one pan, two bowls, two sets of chopsticks, and two forks, so don’t expect to cook much.
