The location, the silence, the hospitality, and the quality of the breakfast made for nine great days. Pouilly is nearby and conveniently positioned for exploring the vineyard area and the beautiful medieval towns, especially Charite and Nevers. The only downside is that the French usually use very soft pillows.

The breakfast was decent, but the wooden chalet was in terrible condition. We had paid for two nights but only stayed one because it was unbearable due to heat and dirt—spider webs and insects everywhere, plus dust. Without air conditioning, only a fan is available, which doesn’t alleviate the discomfort. I’m sorry for the host, but I absolutely do not recommend it. For €90 a day I expected at least the accommodation to be clean.

The welcome was warm, we stayed in the chalet, which was very well equipped. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. It was very quiet, in the middle of the vineyards. Great, I recommend it 😁. No complaints 😂
