The hotel is very pretty and perfectly situated for visiting the Château de Versailles. We had a delightful time at the pool and were treated well at breakfast. The room décor is quite basic and a bit gloomy. We felt cold in the room and found a live insect in our bed when we were about to sleep! That’s unacceptable for a palace, but the incident seemed trivial to the reception staff when we mentioned it.

The location was great, but it’s not a five‑star property, it looks run down and needs a complete overhaul, more like a three‑star. We cancelled our second night but have not yet been refunded or heard back from the property, even though they allowed us to cancel without penalties.

The pool was huge and the bed was super comfy; the spot near Versailles park was great. The only downside was the lack of a spa.

I loved the place and its location, and most of the staff were very good. The pool was nice and parking was super convenient. The outdoor bar sometimes lagged behind, and the Gordon Ramsay restaurant was overpriced and lacked atmosphere.

The spa area was spacious, clean and okay; the concierge service was informative and friendly. The room was poorly ventilated and very musty, badly cleaned and dusty. The worst part was the shower – a lot of mold! I showered in the spa area that morning. At 10:00 am on Sunday, the breakfast buffet was poorly stocked. Several guests complained that there was no warm scrambled eggs or warm baked beans left, and various fruit types were also not restocked. The service was more busy cleaning empty tables than taking the empty plates away from guests.
