The hotel in Baiyun district looked lovely and modern, and getting to the airport was easy by metro or a taxi/Didi; however, the breakfast was cold and didn’t feel fresh, especially the western options.

I stayed at a brand‑new modern hotel right next to the metro and railway station, and the service was excellent and the price was a great deal; the 24‑hour gym and laundry were also handy.

Finding the hotel was a breeze, and the room was spacious and clean; at check‑in we complained that it smelled like cigarettes—probably from the previous guests—and that we had booked a larger room than the one we received, so they swapped rooms without any hassle until we were satisfied; the staff were very helpful and friendly, and I loved the bathroom, though the breakfast could definitely be improved.
